Hello girls – How are you getting along with your Christmas shopping?
Today my shopping trip was a disaster!
Instead of buying the gifts I had planned to purchase my afternoon turned into a self- pampering session.
First stop Marks & Spencer. To reach the gifts department ……..of course you have to walk through the ladies fashion and I found this impossible to do without trying something on.
I really like the dark green pleated skirt which was different to the normal pleats having a frill down the side but found the tops either too wide in the neck or too long in the body.
After trying the green skirt the gold felt quite plain but I did like the colour. Do you agree the tops are either too big at the neck or too long in length?
It is only recently I have started to feel happier about my shape. Having joined the local gym in July this year I am now 15lbs lighter (8lbs of that from also joining my local ‘Slimming World’). Still a long way to go but I will get there. Thank you Yvonne and Mr Mc for all your support.
At last I have reached the ‘Beauty and Gift Section’ I did find some lovely little gifts which I had every intention of purchasing.
However, on my way to the checkout is a lady hidden in a corner with an empty chair and make-up by her side. After a quick conversation I hear she is giving facials and make-overs. 45 minutes later and feeling as though I have made a new friend and have enjoyed a very relaxing make-over. My recommendation girls is to check out your store for a quick treat with no pressure sales talk.
Next stop ‘Superdrug’ as I need a treatment for my very brittle nails. This came highly recommended by the M&S beautician and the reason why I am stopping off in the store.
Another little pamper for myself as with the purchase of the above item I got a free mini-manicure.
Time is nearly up on the car park so maybe just enough time left to buy a couple more gifts but before returning. Wrong!!!! As I leave the store I walk straight into a friend I have not seen in 25 years. Would have recognised Peter anywhere, he has not changed a bit (hope I can age as well as Peter). Half an hour later we are still talking and catching up on our memories of the many musicals we took part in. Sadly I had to bid a hasty good-bye and run to my car. So this week I will be making my shopping list of exactly what items I need to purchase and not return home before purchasing everything.
I do hope you have enjoyed this weeks post and are all now well on the way with your Christmas shopping and plans.
