Social media dictates trends today. An instagram post can make a look go viral overnight.
Kim Kardashian is a great example of setting trends
There are trends and styles we have seen before – these are tricky as they are now styled differently than the first time around. The 90’s are a great example for trend.
Whether you loved or hated animal print – IT IS BACK
Claw clips – now used to hold your hair up were the ultimate chic hair accessory
High-waist mum jeans are back and better than ever. The silhouette they give is very flattering for everyone’s figure.
Velvet was another trend which has been resurrected on dresses and pants.
It’s not all about skinny jeans – embrace wide cut pants.
Denim overalls were a 90’s hit. Now you can get a more stylish version.
Fishnet ankle socks and Fishnet stockings/tights were another accessory – now they are worn under ripped jeans, with dainty high heels or as socks.
These trends really peaked in the 90’s, now the style is more modern.
How many of you ladies like me can remember your mum wearing glasses, overalls and other items very similar.? I know I can. If we wait long enough everything comes back into fashion, it’s just the materials that change.

I’m a big fan of high waisted jeans, they’re so much more comfortable than low rise – I hope they never come back into fashion! I love cat eye sunglasses too, they’re so chic.

Yes. Everyone can look good in high waisted jeans. No muffin top.

It’s always amazing how styles come back. Yet I think many of them change a tad. Like the high waist jeans…they may look the same, but the addition of spandex makes them SO much more comfy!!
I just bought a pair and now I can wear some of the cropped sweaters I knitted years ago….yippee!!
XOXO
